Editor - Avid and Final Cut Pro
Fast, creative, and with a forensic attention to detail.
Phil Henderson has been freelance editing for over 10 years. Has many happy customers and a vast array of experience to draw on.
Under my belt is a range of jobs from documentary, factuals, entertainments, to fast turn around football and sports highlights.
Based in the North West of England (easy for access for Liverpool, Manchester & Leeds). I was established in London for 20 years and am still often down there. Have transport, have audiobooks, will travel. And with a laptop containing Final Cut Suite, I can bring the edit to you.
Editing is a bit like writing: If the video is our ink, and the timeline is our paper, then the edit is the final draft of the story.
Eking out the narrative in the most engaging way is our mission critical objective.
Always seeking to deliver your message, even during montages, and using only the power of invisible edits, we should be driving the viewer on a journey and be leading them to your destination. And be quick about it too.
Whether it be commercials, or drama, or music, or documentary, or even sports highlights. There needs to be a strong sense of what are we trying to achieve here. How can we do it concisely and powerfully. And what can we do in the time allowed. Because a half finished programme isn't a programme it's just an expense.
Below is my sizzle reel. A bubble and squeak confection fresh from the frying pan. Made from some bits and pieces I had around the house, something and nothing, but which I think gives a taste of the type of work I can produce.
And indoors you'll find longer examples; what clients think of me; and more on who I am.
Enjoy...it's meant to be fun.
No really.
