_"I’m done” doesn’t exist! Editing is never finished; it just has to stop.
Forensic attention to detail...(still not Actual Editor)
_Another Day Another Deadline...
Phil Henderson started as runner at m2 television with a clear vision from the outset, to spend days locked in a windowless room, with only a slice of pizza for comfort.
Learnt the basics, acquired some freelance digitising work and was then able to fund myself on the key Avid training courses. 101, 201 Advance Editing, 400 Maintenance, and 320 online QC. This led to a technical support role at m2 and then onto editing. Being a facility editor was an excellent grounding having many sorts of challenges delivered at short notice. When I went freelance, many of the clients I had entertained became my initial client base. The majority are now good friends.
Through recommendation and rebooking the business has built up, and now work (and accommodation) is split between London and the North West of England, on both Final Cut Pro and Avid, equally. These days I have licence to roam and am always looking for a new challenge.
So, wherever you are in the world, say 'Hello' if you would like an experienced editor.
One with a commitment to narrative, to storytelling, and with some panache.
It will be great working with you. Lets do it.
